Visit to Sleep Clinic

Before a patient spends the night in the Sleep Lab, he or she will first see a specialist at the Sleep Disorders Center. The physician will complete a comprehensive medical history, which helps rule out physical illness or other factors as the cause of the patient’s sleeping problem.

If the physician decides a sleep study is in order, the patient will come to the lab to spend the night. The private bedrooms have a relaxed, home-like atmosphere; equipped with full size pillow top mattresses, flat screen televisions, cable service, fan and air-conditioning.

Results of the sleep study are reported to your primary care physician. If necessary, you will be seen in the center for follow-up.
